Programs provide life-skills and job training, recreation, group activities, and focus on empowerment and helping each community member become the best versions of themselves.
Our day services include new program that is developing, which will grow not just plants but vocational skills in Goldenrod community members. The long-term goal is to create a place where individuals can gain horticulture, packaging, customer service and other experiences that can lead to employment in the broader community. A volunteer advisory committee will guide the project. Committee members include local people who bring experience in running a variety of businesses including restaurants and greenhouses. Representatives from the Purdue Extension office will also work with the committee to create the program.
Community Integration and Habilitation Waiver
The Community Integration and Habilitation Waiver provides funds for in-home and community services to individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability. After being awarded waiver services by the Indiana Bureau of Developmental Department Services (BDDS), the individual (or guardian) may choose to receive services while living in their own home, family home or community setting appropriate for their needs.
Family Support Waiver
The Family Supports Waiver provides limited funding to persons with developmental disabilities residing with their families, or in other settings with informal support. To receive Family Support Waiver services, the individual must be currently qualified to receive these services through the Indiana Bureau of Developmental Department Services (BDDS).
Families and individuals who do not qualify for waiver services may pay for services directly to Goldenrod. Fees for services are determined on a case-by-case basis.
