Family Services

In-home support includes daily living activities including hygiene, housekeeping and cooking. Staff also support individuals with social outings and personal errands such as grocery shopping. Community habilitation helps individuals learn about safety, social skills and accessing transportation.

Residential Services

Services are tailored to meet each individual’s needs. Some people may receive only a few hours of support each day, others may have 24-hour care. Services may be offered in a family home, private residence or a Goldenrod-owned home.

Staff provide the necessary support and training in housekeeping, hygiene, cooking, money management, community involvement, communication, leisure and relaxation, social skills, safety instruction, sexuality training, transportation, medication management and medical assistance.

DAy Services

A new program is developing that will grow not just plants but vocational skills in Goldenrod community members. The long-term goal is to create a place where individuals can gain horticulture, packaging, customer service and other experiences that can lead to employment in the broader community. A volunteer advisory committee will guide the project. Committee members include local people who bring experience in running a variety of businesses including restaurants and greenhouses. Representatives from the Purdue Extension office will also work with the committee to create the program.

Services address the spiritual and social needs of adults with disabilities. Project Promise meets two times a month for worship and craft activities. In addition to the worship and craft activities, Project Promise hosts an annual Easter play, retreat, picnic, chicken BBQ and various other activities throughout the year.
